Admission to IWA
The mission of Incarnate Word Academy is to challenge young women of faith to achieve their God-given potential as academically successful Women of the Word, following the example of Jesus, the Incarnate Word, by promoting human dignity, thereby empowering themselves and others to make a positive impact on our world. Admission to IWA is available year round.

Admission is based on the following factors:

• Standardized Test Scores
• Academic Performance
• School Attendance/Tardies
• Student Involvement in Community Service, Extracurriculars and Activities
• Interview with a Member of IWA Administration


Admissions Timeline:
Due to the circumstances of the ongoing global pandemic, Incarnate Word Academy has extended its application timeline and is still accepting applications for the Class of 2025. Once we receive your IWA application and transcripts, we can begin our review. IWA's rolling admissions process allows us to let you know our provisional acceptance decision in just weeks.  Please note that your 2019 taxes will be required to determine the level of assistance you may receive for the 2021-22 school year.

All official acceptance letters, financial aid packages, and scholarship award decisions will be sent to your home on January 29, 2021.

Admissions Checklist:

• IWA Application: The application is required and must be received by Incarnate Word Academy.
You can click HERE to submit your application online. Applications for the 2021-2022 school year will open on September 1, 2020.

• Transcript Release Form: Please click HERE to authorize the release of student information from your current school. ** Please note that 8th grade students attending a parochial school may still complete the Archdiocesan Application to release student records, however, IWA does not require it for admission.

• Scholarships and Financial Aid: IWA currently offers multiple scholarship opportunities to applicants. Click HERE to learn more about IWA’s automatic and competitive scholarship opportunities. IWA is committed to making every effort to help with the cost of your student’s education. Students can apply for work study grants for the upcoming year. Click HERE for more information.
